In these other programs, you can be on the field WITH your kid. For you and your kid, that is huge.

I've had Eagle Scouts play all the sports in high school and some that played college ball. They tell me how much better in the game of life becoming an Eagle Scout is than playing sports. A told me he thinks being an Eagle Scout is the reason he got into pharmacy school. L told me about the time in chiropractic school, the professor started talking about Eagle Scouts. L raised his hand and said "I'm an Eagle Scout". The professor took him under his wings and spent extra time with him, because he is an Eagle Scout. I have three sons and two grandsons that are Eagle Scouts and they tell me how much being an Eagle has benefitted them. Heck, being an Eagle Scout still benefits me at 66 years of age. It still opens doors for me. Very few people would truly care if I played college ball.

    I'm done.
    Glad you are done. LOL.

I coached my boys sports, so I WAS on the field with them 5-6 DAYS A WEEK. Plus reviewing film, working skills privately, etc. From age 5 until College. For 2 of them I was on the field every college game. And for one I was on the field for two years of college (at Angelo) before New coach came in and stopped anyone from being on the field.....he's an assistant a WT now.

One of my three boys enjoyed scouts until they hit either Jr HS or HS. The other disliked scouts from the get go.

Listen, some people excel in sports, some marching in a band, and some tieing knots.....whatever floats your boat and makes you happy.

And you are free to hold whatever opinion you have.

FYI.....The eagle scout CPA works foe ME.....the "football guy".

    Now, I'm done.

Many college athletes are not on athletic scholarships.

BUT, no one is the BEST unless they are Eagle Scouts.

Are they a part of Boy Scouts, the group that filed for bankruptcy in February of 2020?

Everyone needs different things. I could play sports and then also do that stuff on the side with my dad and family and community.

Your individual experience doesn't translate to it being fact for all. How about whatever people use to be successful in their own life is what's better?

I was the best Tiddlywinks player when I was 7 that brought a lot of us neighborhood kids together. Does that count for anything in this pissing contest?
