That's an effed up way of getting there.
Why not Portland to Corpus, then 35 mile drive?????
I know that ASU used charters to get to WOU (San Angelo to Portland); and SFU (San Angelo to Bellingham).
In talking with people that know, the cost of charters have really gone up since the end of COVID to the point that it costs about double to charter compared to using scheduled airlines. The GNAC schools have to make more trips compared to the current LSC schools so they need to economize.

It's probably about the same for CWU - drive to Seattle then fly from there - or is there a better airport than SEATAC?

They used to have a very friendly tailgating setup there before the pandemic. Hopefully it's operating tonight.

Dropping football to stay in an obscure athletic division is the definition of insanity. If they'd never moved to D2 guess what? There would be no protest on campus or uprising from alums. No one would've cared. It's certainly put us in a bind in many ways, despite successes in men's hoop and some in track.
It would be nice if we could play Eastern and Southern Oregon (both NAIA) in non-con, but everyone is protective of their little divisional kingdoms -- that no one knows about.

Yes, good tailgating, we arrived at the stadium about an hour ago and everyone is getting set up.Last edited by SPWOU; 11-12-2022, 02:30 PM.
