Agree! My son signed today and the whole class is extremely excited.

These coaches have big goals and Iā€™m looking forward to watching the program grow.

Michael has potential. He had a 120 QB Rtg w/ 55% comp rate. He needs work on mechanics and reads. But has nice size 6'5. With some development, he could be a top QB.

If the kid becomes one of the best players on the offensive line on a championship playoff team the media would pick up on that information and run with it especially if its a great story on how he was able to overcome it.

ESPN does that all the time in bowl games.

I was at the roll out yesterday. Afterwards I had a chance to sit an hour with Coach Lynn and 6 or 7 "old" WT hands. I like the guy. He's a one of us kind of guy. He's very engaging. A likable kind of guy. Someone asked who his mentor/hero was. Without hesitation Lynn answered "his Dad," a long time small town football coach in West Texas and New Mexico. He told me his preferred offense would be 50/50 run/pass.

As far as recruiting goes, WT is still looking for talent. More OL's and DL's. One more QB. Of the 100 non-seniors on the 2022 roster about 80 are enrolled this spring. Added into that are the above transfers and a few more preferred walk-ons and there are a bit over 100 players for spring ball. The roster is still very young. Lynn stated a few times the Buffs need to get "older." Replying to a question of how he'd rank this recruiting class, he said "it wasn't his best ever class but it was very solid (considering he only had a month to recruit) and had some real gems. They recruited heavy on linemen and DB's and got some size and athleticism. Also, they're not through just yet."

I've watched the videos on every kid. As far as QB's go Ashton Dubose and Landyn Hack are really good. Both dual threat. A couple guys that are a blast to watch are Tory Simmons, Pflugerville Weiss 5'8 165, and Micah Simpson, Greenville 5'10 165. Man can those guys motor. Simpson played WR, RB, QB, DB. His game against Frisco Liberty earned him the Texas Ford Built Tough 5A player of the week. Filling in for the regular bit injured QB, against Frisco Liberty Simpson rushed for 444 yards on 34 carries and 6 TD's the longest 74 yards. How those "little" guys transfer their skills to college ball will be interesting and hopefully fun to watch. The recruited LB's are aggressive and quick. They got some size on the defensive line and Lynn said some speed on the edge. It's harder to evaluate the OL's but they are big boys. Lynn said the secondary got size and length. He also pointed out the kicker Gregg and said the long snapper from Kearney was the best he's had in his coaching career. With a punter that didn't play last year and place kicker Gregg he said our kicking game will be very good.

Yakima Herald article about CWU's signing. Mostly focusing on a local kid that signed with CWU as a TE.

The 6-6 WR should be interesting to follow at WT.

I went to Midwestern State's website to check out their signings....Nothing. They did tweet out during the day, but c'mon

Ditto for ENMU and WNMU. Not as surprising. But still
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?"

They posted a good portion of it on YouTube, it stops after he finishes and it transitioned to the Q&A.

Go to YouTube and search for west Texas a&m athletics page. It's uploaded there.

ENMU had quite a few signees for Kelley coming in a bit late. Some of them are really good players. Looking forward to see if he can grab some JUCO, Poly, or transfer kids later on this year.
