There's zero chance Wendler will promote from within. He wants to put his handprints on the program and show how smart he is.

If Colby had bad mouthed McBroom, he probably wouldn't have got the job. It will be interesting to see what Colby's future plans are. Maybe he will end up at Louisiana Tech like his former AD.

                This from Colby's X feed:

Our past makes us stronger!!! What a great day to be a Lumberjack, as we just landed one of the most successful AD's in the entire country! Big things are in store for SFA Athletics with this guy leading the charge...

Well if true,Sharp will send the clown into a quick retirement if he doesn’t comply.

We will be lucky to keep scholarship sports if this all goes down like Wendler wants. He never even attends games, except for an occasional football game so he can be seen and kissed up to.

Sharp is well aware of Wendler's ideas and has applauded them. I posted proof a year or so back.

I don't think Notso Sharp sees WT as "viable". Tarleton going to D1 has worked out. Commerce "notso" much.

Yeah right! I don’t know how they are going to be able to work together.

This is some funny s***. Everyone is worried how Colby is going to "work" with McBroom, as if he's some sort of brilliant coach. He's 23-31 at SFA. If Colby has another 0-fer in conference, they won't be working together very long.

SFA will enter a period where football success doesn’t necessarily matter as long as the Volleyball, WBB, Softball and cross country track team compete at the National Championships.

It appears that they entered a period where no teams are successful, quite a while back.

Is it even possible for WT to go D1?

Even if Sharp does want all A&M schools D1, would Kingsville be pushed to move up too?
