2 seasons in and Sul Ross still has yet to play a game against a D2 school from outside the LSC

Yeah I think this year they are trying to get some money games to help out with the budget. Also they still need a head coach.

Looks like 7 openings need to be filled in the LSC.

RMAC has 3 (Western Colorado -2, Colorado Mesa).
MIAA has 2 (Central Missouri and Northwest Missouri St.).

        My best guesses are:

        1) Western Colorado could schedule both WT and Midwestern again.
        2) Mesa does a return game at Central Washington.
        3) Western Oregon schedules a combo of FCS/NAIA.
        4) Opens the door for Kingsville to schedule a MIAA and GSC school?

I'm not sure what's up with the return game for CWU/Mesa. That would be a good one. I saw plenty of options in the open dates announcement that D2 put up last night too. I always wonder how difficult that is when multiple teams have openings on the same date and then it takes so long to firm that up.

Just guessing but when things have fallen through in the past or not come together at all, its usually the potential road teams that backs out.

These schedules are already done. They just haven't been released. It is more likely that schools are actively looking for 2027 games right now.

I wish the LSC would do something like this:

What’s with Angelo going to Fort Hays again?

Guessing WO gets another D1 to help pay the bills too.

Looks like the GSC has plenty of spots available if anyone wants to get creative:

Pickings are pretty slim. Cal Poly is the only West Coast team that has any open dates right now

Looks like San Diego hasnt posted their schedule yet unless all their games are appearing on other schedules.

I wondered that too. I thought for sure both MIAA teams would travel to Angelo this year.

All games are on other schedules, yeah. FBSchedules.com has them with non-conference games against Southern Utah, Montana State, and Princeton
