Gotta be the one of the biggest mixed bags of non-conference games I've seen

Yeah I thought Kingsville had moved away from the non D2 cupcakes.

Hard to believe they couldn't get a game from the GLIAC, RMAC, or GSC.

I wouldn't even call Lincoln CA a cupcake. This game should be illegal. CWU beat them 92-0 in 2023 and it should have been 150-0. This does nothing for your program.

Closest game I could find was in 2023 when they only lost to Kennesaw State 28-12.

They did lead West Georgia for 2 minutes last year. They scored to go up 6-0 but their PAT was blocked and ran back for 2 points. West Georgia ended up winning 88-12.

I would rather schedule Monterrey Tech (who almost beat Kingsville in OT in 2013) before scheduling Lincoln.

Wish Kingsville could have found someone else. I think the GLIAC and GSC probably still need games. Lincoln is running athletics programs for all the wrong reasons and the whole department should be shut down before someone gets hurt.

The way that game went, I wouldn’t have been surprised if CWU still found a way to score even when they knelt the entire fourth quarter away.

I am thinking part of the issue is they likely wanted a home game to bookend the travel game in Missouri but very few teams want to spend 2+ days busing or several hours flying just to get to Kingsville.

I'm happy they're bringing this game back. It's been a good rivalry over the years but it's been missed too many times since Western Oregon went division 2. Southern Oregon is a very good NAIA School.

Western Colorado released their schedule which includes hosting West Texas A&M and travelling to Midwestern State.

                        Main schedule updated.

Central Washington and Western Oregon each only have 1 opening left.

Just for giggles I looked at Southern Oregon's schedule and by proxy the conferences around there. I could see the temptation of dropping back down to NAIA to just compete locally against west coast schools. At the end of the day no one is going to care who Angelo State is in D2 anymore than Carroll College in NAIA.

All signs seemingly point to CWU playing Colorado Mesa and WOU playing Cal Poly again

                                Agreed and makes sense.
