WT put them to bed and back to Ellensburg that year in the playoffs.

That being said Reilly was a great college player and enjoyed watching that playoff game in Canyon when he played great.
49 to 42 is hardly a bating, especially since CWU had the ball inside the 20 for three plays to tie the game.

As far as Montana, that was hardly a whipping. And that Montana team went on to play in the NC game.

How was the regular season match up in 2009?

I thought that '08 WT vs CWU playoff game was a shootout..................until ACU beat WT 93-68 the next week. However, I thought WT and CWU were great teams in 2008. ACU was just better. CWU had Montana on the ropes that year and WT on the ropes as well. Still counts as a loss.

I want to win against Montana, but that looks like a tall task. Colorado Mesa of course is more important.

          Also for Goods

Never said it was a beating but WT was in control most of that game up 49-28 and then took their foot off the gas and almost costed them the game.

Central Washington may have still won that 2009 game but WT missing their star running back Keithon Fleming hurt them back then.

Once they got him back they beat #1 ACU and #7 Tarleton easily on the road.

That does suck that an extra point costed CW a chance of taking NW Missouri to overtime.

Too soon. It's only been 16 years. Give it some time. Even Brandon likes bringing this up too often.

              Keithon wasn't worth 25 points...

Maybe it was the time zone change...

Yes and no in a sense.

Without Keithon, opposing defenses could just drop in a zone and take away all the short bubble screen routes without "worrying" about a good running back taking advantage and getting those chunk of yards to make the downs short.

Keithon could run physical and most people overlooked that He could catch passes in the backfield and hurt you that way too.

WT was still stubborn and still tried to throw and would suffer 3 and outs which meant they couldnt keep up and the defense was constantly getting gassed.

Like I said WT likely still loses that game because Central Washington had a great team that year but can argue the score might have been closer.

Either way it was a regular season non-conference game and in the grand scheme of things the result didnt mean much to WT other than to indicate they needed a deeper RB room and a more diverse playbook when dealing with injuries.

$85,000,000 is a fair amount to play mighty Montana. 😏

The good old days when WT had a legit football team. Those days are LONG GONE. Welcome to MEDIOCREVILLE. 😂

I dont think any sane WT fan or any person in general would argue that point the last 11 years.

They got $85 million for playing a ball game? Heck, that's $20 million more than the annual media payout for Big 10 programs.

                          He's a banker. 85M stands for $85,000. $85 million would be 85MM.

                            85 thousand.

In financial circles, particularly banking documentation, M represents thousand, and MM is million.

Well It would track since East Texas A&M was getting millions of dollars to play at Florida State. Haha.

I sure didn't know that, otherwise I would have thought CWU had their SEC application money ready to go! Wait, maybe it should be the ACC, to go with those mid-Atlantic powers Cal and Stanford!
