Some of us are tired of hearing about Tarleton because they are the A&M System’s favorite system school and the rest of us not named Tarleton have to fight for crumbs. I posted the link on the Texas A&M Victoria thread on much money they are getting via PUF and State capital funds vs the rest of us. If you are TAMUK, WTAM, A&M CC or A&M Laredo you should be fit to be tied.

I didnt know it was no TV but wow just few years ago WT Buffs were playing some good games again Tarleton, now Tarleton has reached new levels and WT is wallowing in D2 playing Sul Ross and Western NM type schools. Tarleton was paid $250k to play Army. WT could use that kind of cash. East Texas played SMU and this week Fla St, another big pay day.

WT missed their chance in the early 2010s to make the jump around the same time as ACU. Now you have to hope Wendler doesnt have the program in D3 by the end of the decade having homecoming games against Wayland Baptist.

Yes, we have a great president who never sleeps and is always looking to move the University forward, And it all starts there, but there has been a mobilization of alumni that can’t be compared to our old LSC peeps . You are full of purple poo. Tarleton is one of the few of the system schools that gets PUF. Look it up! WTAM, TAMUK , East Texas, A&M Corpus Christi, etc. can’t access that fund without mountains being moved for it to happen and no one in College Station is willing to do just that. And then you are given the bulk of legislative money that Collie Station doesn’t take for their campus. I’ll make it simple for you. A&M could give a rats ass about its system. You all are benefiting from being there for decades before they were forced to bring the others on.

You are right about the WT Prez. Our new AD is also unimpressive so far. Not a go getter with alums/boosters.

I’m also sure it wouldn’t take a lot of persuading to get Daddy Warbucks Meyers to aid the cause.

As much as I despise Tarleton and this post you are right. WT had the momentum and their shot to move up 15 years ago and whiffed. Most the WT alumni that care are going to be feeding the worms in about 10 years and the most recent alumni and current students dont care because now football has sucked for 12 years and counting.

And that is part of TAMUK's problem too. We've had a generation of students who have no clue what even a taste of the glory days were at A&I or TAMUK with the football program and how that directly translated over to the campus, community and region as far as momentum and pride.

Spot on! I remember those glory days instead of some random guy falling through some rotten boards at the stadium. Although that is a great comparison of how far the program has descended.
