So was I. Playing Pittsburg 3 times a year was tough, plus Cleveland and Cincinnati were also good. One year the Oilers went 10-4 but lost twice to the Steelers and the Bengals, so didn't make the playoffs.

Pittsburg at home during the playoffs was murder. We got close one year, but the refs helped them out. I think Bum Phillips suffered brain damage in that game because he traded away our QB for a WAY over the hill snake. The guy couldn't put any zip on a ball over 15 yards. Bum got fired and got the New Orleans job, and took the snake with him. It didn't work there either.

The Texans are a below-average franchise. They have never played in the AFC championship game. All other teams in the NFL have played in a conference championship game. QB Stroud, who played horribly the last 2 games, still has has more playoff game wins than Prescott and Romo. Stroud just finished his third year. Personally I think a sports psychologist could help him. I don't know who could help Prescott. Cowboys fans aren't worried though, they know they will be in the Super Bowl next year.

The Texans started playing in 2002. They won their first ever game against Dallas.

During the same period, the Texans have a 7-9 playoff record. The Cowboys have a 4-10 playoff record.

I know the Arlington team has won a few Super Bowls, the last being 30 years ago this month. Here's some other interesting sports information for that year.

To me sports is about a couple things, number one winning, number two actually playing and participating. They have no plans of playing anyone above the guy they just got in the portal, none zero. The new Oklahoma State quarterback played for the new Oklahoma State coach at North Texas. They have no plans of playing anyone not even in mop up time at quarterback. If Angelo States quarterback goes in the portal he will be about 4th or 5th string at Oklahoma State if he wants that, fine. Oklahoma state has also made promises to about three or four other quarterbacks. This is what players need to investigate, it's all out there on the internet for them to find.
ASU's OC is now the QB coach at OSU. That probably figures in to his decision.

I agree with Pops that he probably not going to be at 100% again. It may come down to playing backup for ASU or OSU. I wish him luck.

      • Former WT defensive back Jamel Acosta-Lewis transfers to SFA.

        • Former UW and CWU LB Logan Lisherness transfer to Portland State. Now the destinations of all major transfers from Central are known, all transferring to D1 FCS or FBS programs.

          • Former CWU DE Brogan De'Asis also heading to Portland State. Tbh I don't think he is D1 talent

Well OF COURSE he is! Heck he'll be in the NFL in 3 years. Or working at the car wash. For every Trinidad Chambliss, there's about 5,000 car washers waiting for their eligibility to run out.

These idiots transferring around using up all their eligibility with no degree...just wow.

              • Maybe some good news for CWU, former 3 star RB Antoine Lee committed to Portland State to follow the coaching staff there, but he was never announced in their signing class. He is also showing on the CWU Hudl page roster, while none of the other departed transfers are showing. So I am wondering if he is remaining at CWU. If so, they would have all RBs returning minus Beau Phillips, so expect them to not miss a beat in the rushing game

Lee recently updated his X to show that he is indeed still at Central. Minus Beau Phillips who transferred to WSU as a PWO, All of Central's other running backs are returning so they might have the deepest RB room they've ever had

With Ferris I think it's by design - they bring in D1-level players, they dominate at D2, win a title or two, and they go off to the D1 school of their choice in 2-3 years. Rinse and repeat the next season.

For Harding I'm guessing it's different due to the type of school they are and their style of play.

I wasn't an Oilers fan, but Earl Campbell was always one of my favorite players to watch.

It's pretty universal. Ferris was losing and gaining portal studs before the rest of the country. Aneese pretty much invented the kind of revolving door team building that everyone else is forced to do.

Harding has one advantage. Their O is built on option Olinemen. ( read as guys who have huge skill, but often lack the measurables to attract D1 offers.)
