I didn't realize there was also a K-12 school named Lubbock Christian, so I thought they were referring to the university and got confused wondering if there was another football team in the LSC that I somehow didn't know about. LOL

In a lot of different states than Texas I would say don't hire a high school coach. But High School football is so big time in the state of Texas with the huge stadiums, big crowds and big budgets, this isn't that far of a reach. Also, that won-loss record is pretty stunning. But I hope it works out for you UTPB.

i would agree. A friend of mine just won his 10th state championship at Carthage.

Our local ISD needs to expand our stadium. Unless you arrive 90 minutes before the game forget about getting a seat. Going to the concession stands are a nightmare

Traditionally, Tx HS coaches to College coaches has not been very successful. Albeit a few have had regional success.

And probably comes from to much of a “churchy” background for Pops to have anything good to say.

                        Fixed it for ya.

I am an extremely faithful individual and strong believer in Jesus Christ and the Trinity.

And it is that very true, deep faith that causes me to dislike arrogant hypocrites, racists, and bigots hiding behind "religion".

Perfect. Then you are no different than the rest of us. There is no one hiding behind anything religious. Harding happens to have had a great football team in recent memory and when no one can come up with anything on here they bring the religious card to the table. We like to talk trash when it comes to football just like everyone else. And like to give credit due to teams that are clearly better. So quit talking so much about Harding and reacting to everything single thing we say. You apparently don’t even care about D2 football.

I disagree, I think Pops has a ton of passion towards Division II Football we shouldn't be running guys like that off the board. He really gave Western Oregon a lot of credit this year and in the past not a lot of people have. Maybe we hadn't earned it but this year we did and he was one of the first ones to give us kudos, especially when we upset UTPB.
