New football locker room will be getting built. For $1000 you can have your name on a locker. 99 total lockers, most are already asked for. I know at least two more were spoken for before Saturday's game, I was there when the offer was made by one of my friends.

Sounds good. I too put in $5000 but for the Mav locker room. I know there are some left. You can put it in your name or in honor of someone else. That would make people wonder, wouldn't it?

For whatever reason there are A LOT of JUCO/CC programs dropping football across the country.

Unfortunate news. Both campuses of Ridgewater are a half hour to an hour from me. However, I can understand the rationale, and hopefully they can reallocate the resources to the remaining men's and women's athletic programs.

Thanks, 4LIFE. Yes, 7 teams have dropped since the end of the season. 6 in Arizona. They are down to 58 in states outside of California.

I met personally with the RC president for over an hour. He went through the four options and it came down to declining enrollments, declining participation by local athletes, declining interest in athletics by the community and lack of funding and on campus dorms. He was very open and honest- said that they tried to contact all the former athletes going back to 2011 and found that there wasn't much interest from football alumni. Sad to say, but I think all things considered that it was the correct decision.
