Right on Matt, I think the Wolves D has struggled in part because the offense just isnt clicking as we had hoped. That said still a shot at six wins with Mary and Crookston in the next two weeks. Unfortunately, it's exciting considering how things looked early. Cant overlook Mary and the Wolves havent won at home this year, hope the squad, especially the younger guys can keep building chemistry as the season winds down. As a fan you can look ahead, so considering how Duluth has been playing and now out of playoff contention, could make for a more exciting game than most would have guessed to end the year.
Wolves lead 14-7 to end the first. Mary had a grand total of -1 yard on offense, their score cam by way of a Lux fumble returned for a TD. To end the 1st quarter Wolves return a punt to the Mary 3. 2nd play of the 2nd quarter Wolves with a TD pass followed by a successful 2 point conversion. 22-7 Wolves.
Pretty sloppy 2nd half for the Wolves, about halfway through the 4th quarter Wolves lead 42-21. Mary hitting some big plays but coming up short. Nice to (hopefully) get the win, but would have liked to see us keep that focus all game long.
Augie squeaks out a 21-20 victory at home over Concordia by scoring a TD in the last minute. I watched most of the 2nd half. Outside of the Augie winning part, it was a pretty good game.
Another good intense performance today by the Mavs on both sides of the ball, as well as special teams. Should have some real momentum going into the game at Sioux Falls next Saturday.
I expected this to be a much closer game and almost a toss-up. Looks like the Board was more confident in the Beavers than I was voting 33-4 that BSU would win. I did not realize this was BSU's 5th straight win over St. Cloud. Looks like our 3rd string junior QB is developing. He passed for 435 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. The press release is found at: http://www.bsubeavers.com/football/n...-over-huskies/ Congrats Beavers!
