I ended up in the ditch midway between Nicollet and Gaylord. Yes, before the game the story was that the weather would not be a problem. After the game it was that the game never should have been played in such conditions. Can't have it both ways. I hated playing in the snow and I've lived here all of my life. You can't understate the weather, it was a huge factor.

Two years ago today I sat, but mostly stood, through the most amazing game that I have ever attended. Mavs come from behind to beat Tarleton in the playoff game in blizzard conditions. Thank goodness that they were wearing gold that day so that I could see them.

Is what we'd hear each chance we have.
Laker knows of whom I speak,
The man behind one QB sneaks.
He's just a guard, no Adam Thielen.
Maybe this weekend it's Chris who's dealing.
So buckle up, and in you tune.
It's D2 time Sunday at noon.

If I could still give rep points this would top the list.

I don't mean to quote a month-old post but my participation here has been spotty - so I am just now seeing it.

From what I can tell, Casey has still been practicing fairly hard since his MSU days. I'm glad to see he is still getting looks.

He was a great kicker for the Mavs, though I think his NFL chances were hurt when he was forced to attempt some bizarre kicks his senior season from what I recall. Hopefully he can land a spot somewhere eventually.

He did catch Pat McAfee's attention one day on Twitter - I was hoping that would lead to an opportunity in the XFL or something.

It's a no-brainer in my book. It's nice to see that the split is on good terms for all parties. I wish him well in his endeavors!
