Thought I start the new thread since it is 2019 and all...

Anyways... were any you guys able to take in the spring game? I was unable to go this year. Anyone new in particular stick out to watch out for this upcoming season?

Justin Taormina had a 90 yard TD run on the third play and added another score later. But we knew he is a thousand yard rusher and track man. Gunn didn't play- no need to. I was impressed by #39, redshirt freshman Kaleb Sleezer who hit the hole quickly and could get outside. Brevin Kaiser, the transfer QB from South Dakota, made some nice throws. It rained and snowed- I was soaked and shaking by the time it was over. Great food at the BBQ- too bad more people didn't show up, I had six extra tickets that went to waste that I would have given away.

Not very nice weather for the spring game in Mankato apparently. I'm assuming Kaiser will be the backup for the two QB's that played most of the time last season; if so he should be a very capable one.

Word is that the Bears are signing Casey Bednarski as a UFA! Way to go Casey!! The Bears could definitely use a kicker!!

You can add Minnesota State-Mankato @msumavericks (by way of @Dupage_Football) K/P Casey Bednarski to the list of K's that the #Bears are bringing in to their rookie mini-camp. The 6'1, 215 pounder knocked in 55 of 71 FGs throughout his career & avg 40yds per punt the past 2 yrs.

I tried to find him on the 2019 roster, but I had to go back to the 2018 to find his bio.

Not good. Not good for anyone.

My college history professor and boss said it best: "After midnight, downtown Mankato turns into a war zone."

My brother used to be a bouncer. He worked well with the cops because he was military. He once saw a little guy who was being picked on by three guys take them apart in seconds. The one who was still conscious was complaining how they were jumped. He saw the whole thing- they had started it. Idiots.

No. Also a blocked punt- that was the fault of protection though. Wet and sloppy conditions. Did you see that the whole field has been scalped and replanted?
