  • 2025 NSIC Weekly..

We are going to try a live show tonight, our first with the NSIC pod. It'll be 5:30pm CST weekly..which is the time that works for both Tom and I....but keep in mind it will be available to view anytime on the Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook on our normal social channels.

*If you wanna be in the comments section of the live show, feel free to stop over.

Tom and I will "drop" our NSIC rankings..1-14..and preview the season. Next week we will break down the Week 0 contests....but Tuesdays at 5:30pm will be our time.

(MIAA is Mondays and GLIAC is Tues/Wed night, depending on Tony's availability)

    Later fellas!

If you did not watch the NSIC weekly show you can find it on Youtube. Don't agree with some of their picks, but as Witt would say "fair enough"

Great job on the pod Witt. I really appreciate the time and work that you put in to covering D2 football and especially the NSIC. Coverage at this level can sometimes be hard to find and you and Tom do a really good job. It is very exciting to be talking football again, I just wish I didn't have to wait 2 more weeks to see the Wolves play.

VKF, there are clearly some differences in opinion between my take and the coaches on the poll. Keep in mind they had UMD 1st going into last year..I had Bemidji..but I also liked Wayne and their schedule..but they lost 3 of their last 4 and burned me.

I think USF might be as good or better than anyone in the league..and Kato still feels like #1 to me..while I feel like Augie takes a 1/2 step back and BSU also due to some much being lost in star-power from the previous campaign. UMD should be a tad better than last year, which puts them in the playoff hunt for sure. USF and Mankato have the toughest slate of the top teams..and I think Winona has a really tough first month and a half for a new coach taking over a middle of the pack squad.

Thunder..thanks for tuning in and appreciating the work. Games are 7 days away fellas..

While we will be 530pm live each week normally....we moved to 630pm and will have the Jamestown HC Brian Mistro on with us to introduce us to the Jimmies.

Feel free to join us and offer up questions in the comments section, if you'd like.

We will pick the games after that for Week 0..all 10 of em....and expect some upset calls for this week.

We will be live on both Facebook and Twitter..along with Youtube as well.

Here is the link from last night.

Coach Mistro has some of the Mike Schmidt energy and even looks like a smaller version of em..haha.

I think he's realistic about what they have infront of them and is a guy who's easy to cheer for.

This is going to annoy some folks probably, but honestly his energy reminded me of PJ Fleck.

I like that he was willing to make a coordinator switch midseason last year. It shows that the program will do what it takes to improve.

Have to say I like HC Mistro confidence and energy. He has surrounded himself with excellent coaches. He could have talked for the entire NSIC weekly. Love all the OOC games, hard to pick many of them.

Witt said last night on the D2 show that for this week, the NSIC show will be on Monday instead of Tuesday. He didn't say the time so check online for updates. I think it will still be at 5:30- the Jamestown interview was later because of practice.
