Was a fun trip..and my twitter feed was documenting things a bit through video during the game. While it wasn't a packed house, it was still a good crowd overall and the best gameday experience in the league..night game helps. I talked about it on our show last night as one of our top games..but Tom and I will revisit it tonight..along with Wayne HC Logan Masters to chat his big win over MSU. FYI. I can give you guys some background on that video. “Bussin with the Boys” as they are referred to is Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. Taylor played for Michigan and the Titans and Will played for Nebraska and I think the Raiders. They started a podcast awhile back and it has somewhat taken off. Very much a “boys will be boys” type feel to it. Taylor is known for pounding beers on TV at Predator games for example.
Northern has been doing these video uniform reveals each week that have been pretty clever. A few weeks ago they recreated a tik tok trend from awhile back and it went semi viral. Taylor saw and it shared it to his story and loved it. They reached out to Northern to see if they could do their own version of that trend one week. So the team sent the jerseys and helmets to them to make it happen. Amazing free exposure for a D2 program in little old Aberdeen. I think between the Northern and Bussin with the boys accounts on various platforms it got like 750k impressions. Not too shabby.
May have another cool video coming soon as well. Still remains to be seen if it happens howeverComment
