Fort Hays State @ Central Missouri (-10.5):

RMAC Connection: Fort Hays State has the #17 ranked pass defense in the country. Can it slow down Central Missouri's #1 ranked passing offense? Fort Hays was in the RMAC from 1967-1972 before it left with the other Kansas schools to form the GPAC. They rejoined in 1989 and stayed until 2006 before joining the MIAA. With yesterday's release of the regional rankings, Central Missouri was a top 4 seed so as it stands would not get switched into SR4 but Zach Zebrowski has emerged as a top challenger to take the Harlon Hill out of the conference.

Highlands @ CO Mines (-49.5). NMHU has given up 59 ppg to the other two top schools, while scoring 3.5. Mines wins big, 63-10.

Pueblo (-3.5) @ SD Mines. Pueblo is doing what they can. In the end it won't be enough to make the PO's, but they'll do the best they can. This week they win 38-21.

Adams @ Black Hills (-25.5). The last month, Adams has looked more like Fort Lewis than Fort Lewis. BHSU looked less than impressive against the actual Fort Lewis, but makes up for it this week, 42-7.

Chadron @ Mesa (-6.5). These two teams have crushed my pick 'em standing this year. Maybe Mesa can get a few TD's out of their O-line and carry the line. Mesa 35-21.

Fort Lewis @ Western (-53.5). Western ought to be mad about how last week turned out. Fort Lewis will make a good punching bag. Western rolls, 70-3.



Fort Hays State @ Central Missouri (-10.5): It took me 0.5 seconds to make this pick, especially with it only being a 10.5 point line. A reason that Fort Hays has such a highly rated pass defense is because they haven't played Central Missouri yet. As long as it's not 10 degrees with a 40 mph cross wind, CMU rolls, 35-17.

Some tough ones to call here. Hope Mines keeps their foot on the gas to cover against Highlands. Surprised the spread isn't larger in the Pueblo and UCM games. I think Chadron and FLC can cover in their games. Not super happy about those picks but I think my Skyhawks can put up double digit points and the Western offense isn't explosive enough to score 60+.
