Years past other PSAC posters have predicted down years for WLU most recently before last season when we lost our HOF head coach, all American PG, highly productive 6th man as well as a couple of other starters. The posters typically say thing like since WLU lost soooo much, SR1 will be wide open this year.
Well that has been true to an extent. WL hasn't won a tournament game the past two years. The PSAC East was dominant last year ... best it ever was. Year before Fairmont went to the national title game.

The region has improved dramatically. It's not just IUP and WL on a collision course anymore.

I'm still confident that if not for the home-court factor, ESU would have beaten Northern State last year. That was a tough draw and they showed out well despite the 3-PT shooting.

That was a tough break the way that fell for ESU. That place was jam-packed and crazy. The Sanford Pentagon is a great basketball facility (just not when you're playing the home team).

Will make the WL-West Chester clash in the first weekend that much better...

Amir Hinton... why Shaw? I thought that kid would've wanted to go to a winning program after being at LH.

Lock Haven dictates the release. They may have blocked PSAC schools.

That's what I figured but Lock Haven... why not get a championship to the PSAC???

Maybe next year if he doesn't like it down there. Lol. Never know.

He'll likely be on the market for a fourth time this off-season.

We'll definitely be looking for guards next offseason!

Now that the rosters are all known, ... Here's my Atlantic Region Preseason Top 10

                                (in no particular order)

                                * Fairmont State: Deep and healthy
                                * West Liberty: Business as usual ... post game appears to be better than a year ago
                                * Concord: Added some big JUCO scorers to play with Bolte ... will they play any D?

                                * Virginia State: Loaded roster -- big, fast and deep
                                * Shaw: A lot returned and Amir Hinton showed up ... could be VERY dangerous
                                * Virginia Union: They always find a way

                                * IUP: Stacked under the basket. Guard depth is an issue.
                                * Kutztown: Guards galore ... small under the basket
                                * West Chester: Size. Speed. Experience.

final spot: (tie) East Stroudsburg and Slippery Rock -- ESU has 3 starters back from E8 team and some big newcomers. Lost two key post players. SRU has the monster Micah Till and added, well, about 12 transfers - a few of which have fairly high pedigrees.
