Hursts NCAA partisipation will hinge on how well (or poorly) they do in the PSAC tourney. First round loss and they won't get an invitation to the dance...win one but lose the next, MAYBE they get a ticket (depending on what happens in other conferences)...win 2+, they are probably in.

They may win more than that ...

It's a cluster. The CIAA regular season is over.

Look for Mercyhurst to move up. East Stroudsburg and Cal are moving upward.

    - Not much needs said. Two elite programs battling for the higher seed. WL won the first meeting by single digits but had control the whole way.

But Koenig is too good a tactician not to come up with something to shift that balance of control tomorrow. I expect it to be a dogfight, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons find a way to eek one out. Should be entertaining to watch either way!

    5. Gannon
    6. Lincoln
    7. Bowie State
    8. California
    9. Charleston
    10. Shepherd

Bowie State and Charleston both lost last night on the women's side. Charleston lost to No 3. Notre Dame. Bowie State lost to No. 4 Virginia Union. We'll see if this changes anything for those on the bubble.

If Mercyhurst doesn't stumble on Saturday, I guarantee they'll be in next week's top 10.

Same reason Lombardi played D3 games this year and last ... it's a home date. Play it or practice against yourself. Teams don't exactly line up to play games at IUP, Ship, WL, etc. Non-conference opponents can be hard to find.

Maybe that game against Daemen wasn't such a bad idea after all. ; )

Even with a good schedule, wins and losses matter at some point.

Three of the Top 10 lost last night. Wild race.
