  • Re: Transfers

Trevor English, D&E's leading scorer and rebounder, transfers to Mansfield.

D&E is no different next season than Wheeling Jesuit. Counting the players that quit the team at the end of the season and the players that have transferred, D&E is not left with much of any thing.

??? The leading scorer on any team can't find a better landing spot than MANSFIELD !!! He should have started much earlier. From 6-22 to 4-24...hmmm

Wonder what is going on? Lost 37% of scoring to transfers + 30% to Graduation = 67% of scoring is gone.

He'll never be heard from again ... headed to the PSAC version of Siberia.

Mercyhurst has signed JUCO forward Joel Ufele (6'9", 224 lbs) out of Northeast (Nebraska) Community College.

From London, he'll have two years in Erie.

He's very mobile for his size and a big shot blocker. Seems like a perfect fit in that system.

Coming from D&E, he's used to playing in Siberia!

D&E...You just have to look at them, look at the MEC, ask why in a questioning voice to no one in particular, shrug your shoulders, sigh a deep sigh, and walk off in no particular direction.

This is a "pick-up" by the MEC that makes ZERO sense...They were a uniformly bad program in the WVIAC...they have been a uniformly bad program in the GMAC...and they will be a uniformly bad program in the MEC...

"siiiigggghhhh" (scratching my head and wondering off in no particular direction...)

Has one year to play - 3rd leading scorer at 11 ppg. FSU has lost 70% of their scoring, mostly to graduation.
But they have some talented redshirt Frosh.

Looks like a bidding war for former Mansfield PG Ryan Berstein. He has offers from Mercyhurst, West Chester and Kutztown.

This will be his fourth school in four years (Maine, Kent State, Mansfield). He averaged 12.6 ppg and 7 assists per game last season (7 games / 7 starts).

FOUR schools in FOUR years is asinine.

That was my reaction as well. You folks know the rules better than I. Is he immediately eligible? I thought you had to sit out at least a semester after the second transfer. A third transfer is unchartered territory for me. Can he petition the NCAA for a fifth year of eligibility to make it five schools in five years?

Bidding war may be a little strong...possibly more like all three have made offers at varying levels (or perhaps exactly the same) and the players camp is trying to decide between the three.

What is the over/under for how long this cat is on whatever campus for what ever school he chooses AFTER the last game of his "Senior" year? I say 3 days...just long enough for him to clear out his locker, turn in his gear, and drop his room keys off at the RA's office.
