    GU just went 5-0. What's IUP's record?

I see you want to have sHlitz singing contest. Sorry I don't lower myself to your level

The good news is life goes on and next year we'll have basketball -- and a full roster back. I'm told they will have zero departures (at least among the first 10 guys).

As I said the other day, I'm actually a lot more worried about football playing next year than basketball. D2 football is essentially a financial loser. Add all that testing cost to it ... makes me nervous if the NCAA doesn't relax it a bit by mid-summer.

Reading past all of the other BS on this thread, I'm correcting you on this statement - remember, the field is down to 48 this year - that's 6 teams in 8 regions. Not 8 teams. It's gonna be a bloodbath to get in if there are already 7 "locks".

Yep. Forgot about the 6 teams instead of 8. That sure changes things.

If BS isn't your thing ... the Atlantic thread won't be a fit. LOL.

I still think one loss with no conference tournament, crappy SOSs and less games could knock out an independent.

After years of dealing with Silky Panties on the Midwest thread, nothing on this forum really surprises me any more!

Haha ... that Southern Indiana thread was off the charts. Did most of the those posters move along or is it still a war?

I think he ended up banned, multiple times. He finally gave up on creating new usernames and it's oh-so-peaceful over there now.

Joe and the AD both have their email and numbers on the website if it's bothering everybody so much. Give them a call and ask. See if they'll give you an answer rather than all this babbling.

It has come out, however, Gannon declined to play IUP this year. That, of course, is rumor, as neither side is ever going to say it on the record.

The NCAA is going to have to come up with a "minimum games" number and a "recency number." Somthing like 10 games vs DII teams and 3 of those games in the 30 days prior to selection day. Lincoln PA as an example...Even though the apparently have stopped playing, they are 3-0 with a high PI. If you just run the criteria without some sort of minimum and recency requirement, pretty good chance they could be the #1 seed in the Atlantic even though they haven't played in 3+ months.

There is already a minimum number established at 11 games. I'm not aware of "recency" as you call it being an issue, as I haven't heard of any teams cancelling seasons after crossing the 11-game threshold.

11 (D2 opponents) games has been the magic number since Day 1.

I must have missed the 11 game thresh hold. Is that posted somewhere?

I'm not sure what game you're missing but KWC is 9-4 in conference, so you've got us short a win.
