SOS was the apparent deciding factor in IUP hosting this regional. (And it's why 9-loss Cal earned a 3 seed). If you're satisfied never hosting again and playing tougher opponents in the regional, go ahead and schedule more tomato cans. That discussion is old, and it's clear Ben Howlett has no interest in beating up on Mansfield the way Crutch did. And good for Ben.

I wouldn't want to bet the Cal vs WVS game tomorrow even with any of your money.

WVS plays a lot like a PSAC team.

Cal rarely presses so it will be a totally different flow tomorrow.

WVS has the dudes to at least make Alston work for it.

That first game today was over before it started. FSU was just too beat up.

Millersville had an ugly half. If they re-group this could be a game. If not ... mini PSAC West tournament tomorrow (WV State would fit right in).

West Virginia State has the edge in overall athleticism in my opinion. Like you said though, it will be a different kind of game and I wonder if WV State can do enough in a half court game. Alston could be the difference, but the WV State bigs could give him fits with their quickness and athleticism. It should be a great game.

They definitely shot it poorly tonight. Though, they have won a few games this year while also shooting poorly (Daemen, FSU in the MEC tourney, & Charleston in the MEC tourney come to mind). The difference here was they had too many turnovers and gave up far too many offensive rebounds. Some sloppy stuff that they could have controlled that might have changed the outcome despite the shooting woes. Take care of the basketball and the shooting woes can be weathered.
