Rumors are the Nova SE match could become a yearly home and home.

I think Gannon will be strong again. They are recruiting actively and swiftly. Game 1, however, is probably a tall task with a whole new team.

These younger coaches are just smoking the old guard on the recruiting trail.

Edinboro and Bloomsburg (men's) will both open at the Fairmont State Tip-Off (not sure of the fourth team).

Edinboro has added some nice PSAC transfers and should be a little better (probably not a .500 team but in the ballpark). Bloomsburg was historically bad last year and may be worse this year.

          California (Men's) non-conference:

          Nov. 8 - at Charleston
Nov. 9 - Glenville State (at Charleston)

          Nov. 13 - PSU-Fayette
          Nov. 16 - Concord
          Nov. 19 - Lincoln

          Nov. 26 - at Daemen

          Dec. 1 - at Wheeling

          Dec. 14 - Wilmington

Also of note, both IUP games (home and away) are scheduled for Wednesday nights.

The Vulcans' crossover this year has Millersville, Shepherd and Bloomsburg at home, with trips to West Chester, East Stroudsburg and Kutztown.

He's been begging people to buy his house for months.

Yeah he was hoping to have it sold before they moved, but doesn't look like it

The IUP men should be playing at the Clarion tip-off tournament since they hosted their tipoff last year. I believe that's going to be the norm going forward to avoid football, men's basketball and women's basketball all on the same afternoon as well as potential conflicts with the PSAC tipoff time rules/preferences. The IUP women should continue to host their tournament.

I'd be shocked. Joe went up there once a couple years ago. That's the only time in like 15 years IUP hasn't opened at home (aside from that National tip-off).

I can't see Joe giving up two home games - regardless of Tort.

IUPAlum and I went up to that game at Clarion. It was awful. IUP had about 30 fans and Winston-Salem had zero.

I sure hope they don't open there but nothing about this program lately would surprise me.

I'm still baffled they opened at Clarion two years ago with that loaded team.

Here is the problem with the opening tournament, UPJ bowed out now. It's hard to find three teams for these Classics. Remember a few years ago when Salem japped out and screwed IUP. It turned into a 3 teamer. IUP got 1 game that weekend because of it.

Well, because of Mercyhurst bailing, IUP doesn't even have a football game that weekend. So, no overlap like past years. Like I said, nothing would shock me anymore, but, I just can't see Joe giving up two home games to rather go play in an empty gym.

My understanding was that it was more a request from the athletic department with one SID and a handful of student workers having to staff eight games over the course of two days, plus whatever football, women's soccer, field hockey is going on.

The IUP Women are confirmed home to open the season (Saturday and Sunday / Nov. 9 & 10). Virginia State is one of the teams participating.

Joe always opens on Friday/Saturday (when they host).

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

SID and Athletic Ops jobs are INSANE. The tireless demands probably only compare to politics.
