Wieck could be heard over the radio broadcast, PXP man JJ Hartigan politely complained about Wieck. His players are a reflection of their of their coach

    0-5 on 3ptFG
    3-4 on 2ptFG
    2-3 on FT

Akoi breaking out of his offensive and foul induced funk was going to happen eventually but I'm especially glad it happened last night in Marshall. He controlled the action offensively and did another amazing job on Felon Stevens. However this will always be the Jack Hastreiter game.

In the last four games before last night Jack had one DNP and three nights where he played, 9, 4, and 1 minute. I'm sure he was on the SMSU scout but definitely at the bottom of the page with only a bullet point or two about not letting him catch and shoot. Jack proceeded to catch and shoot like the RA was a glue factory. The amount of focus it takes to pull that off while not playing consistent minutes all season is undeniably impressive.

Fun to keep seeing the pieces come together for Coach Schilling. A 6-game streak seemed unlikely a few weeks ago, but here we are. Excited to see what happens against the Beavers.

    Six in a row.

Kelton Coleman didn't play a lot this weekend but made an impact when he did. The bench mob was slow to join the party but they've had back to back solid weekends.

Next Saturday vs Minot will be a great test to see if they can keep this rolling against a quality opponent.

Cody continued turning the tanker this weekend.

A gritty win on Friday as they overcame a ref show and an injury to Sam Rensch. Akoi had a tremendous defensive play to ice the game. He was in the paint, jumped to contest a pass, landed, and jumped again to block the potential go ahead basket. Second game this season he's had a pivotal one on one defensive play.

Saturday was a frolicking win with little stress. Everyone was hot from 3 and they didn't let off the gas all night.

Four straight wins and returning home for Mary/Northern.

UND dropped women's hockey due to the great expense. And hockey is the #1 sport there. I can see why AU didn't start it.

21-14 from Te Slaa, that dude is relentless.

Tameron Ferguson had 16 which included some really solid dribble drive attacks. That's two out of three games he's consistently utilized his speed and ability to finish at the rim.

The offense isn't great but it's doing enough right now. For a relatively young team they are solid defensively.

Cody dragged them through a dark stretch and found a way to win on the other side.

IMO - if sacrificing a basketball venue was the biggest loss in adding hockey, they did made the right choice.

Midco Arena makes the Elmen Center look sad though.

Elmen has actually been one of my favorite NSIC environments, so this doesn't bother me at all.
Gotcha. I thought the environment was... pretty nonexistent. Probably because it was a Thursday game after students left? It had less energy that the Stewart Center.

The Pentagon was nice because I didn't have to drive into town and back out again. And they had videoboards.

I try to see Augie (and USF) play once a year, so it's not that much of a detriment though.
