Winona made their open shots. MSU could not have beaten a high school team tonight. Zero effort on both sides, embarrassing really. Winona outhustled amd outplayed the Mavs tonight. Lazy games will get you beat every night by any team.

Winona out hustled them for sure. I could tell by the assistant's comments at half that the Maverick coaching staff wasn't happy with the effort. Winona wanted that game far more.

In the books. Winona 90 Mankato 78. Had a feeling about this one. WSU matches up well. Aside from Northern, nobody should want to see this team.

Agreed. That is a good match up for the Warriors. Love how things are coming together.

And then it was even worse in the 2nd half! Frustrating to see that effort.

Hopefully that was a wake up call for MSU, can't sleepwalk through games. Winona beat them up, especially in the 2nd half. I doubt the game would be similar if they play again. If so, MSU will deserve to lose again.

Maybe not, but I don't believe you give Winona enough credit. Right now I think they stack up well with any team in the conference except Northern. I did not see one Mankato player on the floor tonight who I thought was better than the corresponding Winona player. Maybe as good all the way down the line; but not better.

I don't sleep on them. They might still be better even though Winona beat them. Just the same, I think Winona right now would be in a small group of teams St. Cloud would prefer to avoid. Could be they crap out I I'm left with egg on my face, but they look pretty good to me. One thing I was thinking that shows how far they have come is that they now destroy the teams they should beat whereas before it felt like they had a bad habit of letting these teams hang around or come back. Now they put their foot on the throat and keep it there.

Just be glad you aren't playing the Huskies right now. They are firing on all cylinders and are the smoothest running machine I have seen in quite some time. Four or five 1st team all conference players if you ask me. Just a dominant, athletic squad inside and out. They are going to make NWMSU look like the BearKittens in a few weeks.

Warriors win 90-78 in Mankato. That was about as complete a game as I've seen from the WSU all year. Well done, guys!

Winona deserved to win. Shot great outside in the second half. Could drive when ever they wanted to. Played with a lot more teamwork and heart.

No doubt Winona was the better team last night. I expected a more inspired effort by the Mavs, as they had a chance to at least tie for the South championship. Hoping they can get back on the tracks this weekend.

Perhaps. I certainly praised them and said they outhustled and outplayed the Mavs. I'll send a gold star to their AD to drive it home for you ;)

Being I don't find and MSU thread I will ask this question here. I keep seeing reference to Mankato like this:

WSU won its final four road games of the regular season, including wins at CSP and (RV) MSU

My question is what does the (RV) reference?
