RB has insane IQ, I also never said he didnt. For example, making a layup and then grabbing the ball after to give it to the ref to buy more time to get set in full court press, genius. Also, he does play incredibly hard, and has been gifted with tremendous ability. To say everyone one should be used to it is the biggest bunch of poo. You should get used to someone doing what I was referring to as the "crap" stuff...that should get fixed by officials. I texted a guy earlier tonight about how I would understand liking him if on my team but even then I'd get sick of it. Case in point, most recently Doyle did that a time or two too much for my liking last year. I want to see hoops and great plays, not sell jobs or flops and yes, to me there is a difference.
Where did I say everyone should be used to it? People can say he flops etc. I just think he has great anticipation to things and the way he creates contact and bounces his shoulders around in my opinion is great guard play and very smart. He is the best I've seen coming off ball screens to create fouls flopping or not since Zach Monaghan.

Oh come on, you love Doyal Haha. If Doyal drove you crazy, how are you going to put up with Parker Fox for 3 more years?!?

Overall, I just find it funny how much crap he gets on here and I'm not even a SMSU fan, just a big fan of the NSIC. He's unbelievable leader, his teammates love him and I can tell by watching he loves his teammates. I can root hard for a kid like that who has done it the right way his whole career starting as basically a walk on. That's why I also thought he should of at least won share of the conference MVP. What he has done this year with that team is far more impressive to me then what Gage has done.

You didnt say that, another poor reading job on my part. I need more sleep, haha.

Doyle at times drove me nuts, not always. After what I learned this weekend from some in the league, it's well known of Parker's emotions. I'm positive Sather and staff know as well and are working on it with him, but also dont want him to turn soft and lose that aggression he can play with. I'll always admit things whether my team or others if it is the case.

Again sorry for my lack of earlier reading skills, haha

Well, then lets rename the damn award a lifetime achievement award. But he probably loses that to since Gage is the all time leading scorer in the conference and a four time First Team all-conference selection. ryan bruggeman is a nice player for that system, but when you watch Gage Davis, he's a more complete basketball player. Lets see at the end of the year who gets invited to play in any post-season all star games, and then lets follow who's playing where next year. I'm hearing its a pretty good chance Gage won't have to leave the continent to continue his career.

I would hope not, they are students. They did have one student who was surprisingly good and could be an ESPN level broadcaster later in life.

A nice player for that system? You crack me up as he could play anywhere in D2 right now just like Gage. But, guess only time will tell Simple. How many titles has Gage won? How many Championship games has he played in? Whose had a better overall career? Who overall has just won more? Never did I say Gage wasn't a great player but give me a true leader in RB. The confernce has gave out Co-MVPS before so that's on them. Also, Gage will have a fine Career in Europe if he can stay out of trouble. Honestly, he shouldn't of even been allowed to play the past 2 seasons and everyone knows it but we won't get into that again.

I realize that but my point being is smsu doesn't win 10 games this year without RB. So in my opinion, he is as valuable as anyone in the league.

I am very conflicted. I do think the Bigler system is built to make the PG look good. However, Bruggeman runs that system about as well as anyone could. It's a perfect skillset for the system. We won't be able to just plug someone in and get the same production next year. To me, that sets him apart. He's not just a system player. He makes the system what it is.

FOB is absolutely right, SMSU isn't near as good without Bruggeman. Probably on par with Upper Iowa and Concordia. SCSU without Davis is still probably a Top 2 seed in the North this season.

Scsu does not have the supporting cast to replace Davis 25 pts per game. Without Davis scsu is maybe a .500 team in nsic. Even though scsu supporting cast is a little better than smnu supporting cast. Without bruggeman smnu is bottom three team in nsic. Would be fine with coPOY, but definitely not one of greatest tragedies in world history for Davis to edge out bruggeman if you look just at 2018-2019 season, including the overall regular season success of each team. For the career argument, Bruggeman and smnu had the better supporting cast the prior three seasons over Davis and scsu.

If you take Davis off SCSU, they are not a great team. They would have Smith, Thiesen, and a whole lot of spare parts.

David, good seeing you again the other day. Thanks a bunch for the time and effort you guys put into this tourney..knowing the teams and the players..coupled with fantastic production. The work is appreciated. With my kids activities (and me coaching them), I don't get out to see as many games at the NSIC as I would like. Being able to still catch them to some extent via Midco is fantastic.

....been some really good games this year. Kudos to Northern and SW for making it to Tuesday night.
