I miss not being able to watch these games in person at the Pentagon.

NCAA website is reporting these times (Central), but other sources (http://evansvillesports.org/events/m...ht-basketball/ and https://campus.mst.edu/athleticsarch...r-regtourn.htm) are reporting an hour later. Makes me wonder if the NCAA is thinking Evansville is on Eastern time and converting them? (they are indeed on Central)

Why is NW as the 1 seed playing in the second game of their session? That gives them less time to rest than their potential semifinal opponents. The evening schedule makes sense with the 2 seed playing the first game.

I guess culture will have to overcome adversity.

Because that is where the West Texas A&M coaches deemed that they should play. :)

Yes we do, same as the majority of the rest of the US. However, the majority of Indiana is on Eastern while the Northwest and Southwest corners of the state observe Central time (Chicago time).

Agreed. I'd much rather play at 2:30 than 12. However, the ideal time for the #1 seed would have been the 6pm slot with the 4/5 matchup after. Maybe they are trying to capitalize on USI being the hometown team and selling more tickets by having them play at 6pm.

I'm glad our brilliant AD saved WSU some money by not keeping Brown and Gove at WSU, letting them go to West Texas A&M. Think of all the money we are saving by not going to the elite 8 the last few years...That guy is always thinking.

I spent 3 years explaining this to to every speaker I brought in while working at USI. Wrote it in to contracts, highlighted it in all correspondence... Every year I still had one or two who messed up the timing. At least it always meant they were earlier than they intended.

I wish the 2:30 p.m. time was eastern, that hour would make my trip easier. I admit I was hoping for a noon start time. At least, living in Indiana is paying off well for following NW in the post season this academic year though. Easy trips to the football playoff games in Michigan, fairly easy trip to Evansville for basketball as well.

We love the Winona AD and administration! Geniuses all. We really love our AD McBroom and our former Pres Pat O'Bien for having the foresight to hire Brown and Gove.

Brown and Gove at WT took over a team that went 10-17 in 2013-14.

                              2014-15 17-12
                              2015-16 21-10
                              2016-17 26-9
                              2017-18 32-4
                              2018-19 34-3

9-2 in NCAA tournament at WT
