You have no idea how conflicting that game was for me, I'm glad it's over.

How's 14-16 in the opener sound?

You have to include the 7-18 FG to provide the hideously criminal context.

And 12 FTA in the final 2:52 of the game.

I didn't watch any of the games this weekend, so I'm just going off box scores. My early takeaway is that Northern isn't going to be very good, as expected. I'm also thinking maybe NW Missouri St is going to struggle without the almighty McCollum in charge this season. It looks like Augie may have some ups and downs this season as well as I expected them to have a better showing vs. MoWest after beating the Bearcats. Wayne may also be better than expectations.

As for Northern, I thought I had read Saul say after the exhibition they weren't going to be as much of a 3PT shooting team this year. Maybe he just meant they weren't going to make very many. 37 of the 59 attempts on Sunday game from 3 and 23 of 48 were from deep on Friday so it appears the offensively philosophy hasn't really changed much. I've been surprised to see as much production from Abdelkarim as he's had so far. Him, Burks, and Glenn are going to have to be lights out for NSU to win many games this year it would appear.

Thru two games Felon Stevens is 9-22 FG and 27-30 FT. How long will regional officials allow this sort of absurdity to go on?

Is he the new Ryan Bruggeman? Flop, flail and frown?

Looks like decent first weekend for Dragons. Encouraging that the 7 footer finished with strong game scoring and rebounding on Sunday. The combination of Jennissen and Jenkins (off the bench) inside has potential to big advantage for Msum this year. Both guys had 10+ rebounds on Sunday. I think the Dragons have a chance to be a very good defensive team this year. Offense may take a little time to catch up. Also, good to see freshman Wysoki come off the bench and play well Sunday. This team has real potential. They just need to keep on working and figuring out their individual roles.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember much flopping from him last year. Just that he's genuinely physical, likes to get deep into the post, and has a decent fake to get guys off their feet and will then go up.
