Should NW Mo get to the Elite 8 they will be playing in an extremely familiar setting since they have played 6 games there during the last two Central Regionals.
Not sure what happened to them when they got hammered by an only okay Missouri Southern. I did look at their season stats and noticed one of the most unusual stat lines you will ever see. Zach Schneider has 87 field goals for the year, 86 of them are 3 pointers. He is shooting an outstanding 49% on threes. For the season he is 1 for 2 on 2 pointers. If you didn't know better, you would guess the guy is a 6' sharpshooting specialist. He is 6'7" tall and leads the team in minutes played. No matter how good a shooter he is, you would have thought that he would have more 2 point attempts that would have fallen into his lap. http://bearcatsports.com/cumestats.a...ball&year=2016

I suspect we will see USI/Ferris and Truman/UWP swap positions. No other changes.

I think you're right. The only other thing I wonder is Quincy/Findlay. RPI & SOS leaned slightly toward QU and PI leaned slightly toward UF last week, but now wonder since QU has taken the edge in PI and picked up a ranked regional road win last week if Quincy might make the jump to 5 past UF.

Not overly surprising. A little disappointing that Quincy jumped Findlay AND us, but 4 or 5 really are no difference, although I do think it sets KWC up to drop to the 6 if Findlay gets to the GLIAC finals (likely). So that first round game against USI could actually happen.

This did prompt me to go check out Quincy's roster and stats a little bit. I didn't realize Tagarelli was just 6'5". I had seen his statlines now and then through the season and was figuring him to be like 6'8" or 6'9". Dude must really play bigger than his actual size. I actually like that kind of post player, in D2 they can be really effective (obviously).

I have maintained that Quincy is the most talented team in the GLVC and probably the region, but they do not always play up to their talent. Tagarelli can be impossible to stop at times. He is a D2 Charles Barkley. They also have a very good point guard and very good 3/4 in McGaughey. Having said all that, I for one am surprised by the committee moving around teams when nothing on the court really changed.

The move KWC falling is in hope that they lose in the tourney then they can be passed over.

I wonder if we loose, will be left out. Does the committee expect us to go undefeated to get in? If we loose are we out? If we get the flu and have to play the managers are we out?

People said I was being paranoid when I said 4th wasn't high enough to be safe should we not get the auto bid. I honestly don't know how safe we are. I do think we will make it a mute point by winning but if not we will see. I don't think there is any precedent for a team sitting at 5th on the last ranking before the tournament selection being dropped from the field entirely, but if they can find a way I'm not confident enough in the integrity of the process to believe they wouldn't do so.

KWC deserved better than this slap in the ratings. This is a knock at our conference. We have won all but two games. This team should be one of the top three seeds at least. Just my opinion.

I don't think we are safe now, they want us to lose. That and they want us to play USI again just in case we win the G-MAC Tournament.

Precisely. We Will see what happens. Except, Wesleyan will dominate the G-MAC tournament even if they have to play the Final at 0600 hours on Saturday.

Owensboro has long forgotten and written off Wesleyan for a long time, for the most part.

The city can spend a billion dollars on the concrete downtown, but the civic leaders write off the economic impact Wesleyan brings to Owensboro. Not to mention the state and regional exposure the college brings to Owensboro. All the civic leaders give Wesleyan lip service except for our corporate sponsors.

Owensboro made a HUGE mistake financially when they dissed the idea of incorporating a combination athletic and entertainment complex into the convention center. Maybe, the leaders thought a leading liberal arts educational institution that has helped put Owensboro on the map since the early 1950's was not worth the effort.

It is a knock at your conference and rightfully so. You can be mad, frustrated, complain, etc, but the bottom line is your conference is as bad as they come. KWC played 2 good teams all year and lost both games.
