Unfortunately I was right when I wrote "I'm sure that a bunch of other JuCo's in California (there's 115 of them) will make a similar announcement now that one has pulled the plug". I'm proud to say that I was a JuCo transfer. I ran track (distance events) at College of the Desert. Sadly, they have since dropped the Men's track & field team, another Title IX casualty. They were the only college of any kind that contacted me about sports, so I said heck ya'. Go Roadrunners!

Southwestern College (a community college in San Diego County) won't have any "contact sports" this Fall. And I'm sure that a bunch of other JuCo's in California (there's 115 of them) will make a similar announcement now that one has pulled the plug. The state has given these schools until July 17 to make their decision.

The NWL's plan to continue play is a tad ambitious, IMO.

Southern California Collegiate Baseball League (another woodbat league) has cancelled their season as well. So that's six more teams that won't be playing.

And now the Covid-19 pandemic is on the rise again in those states where many people ignored the CDC warnings and tried to rush back to life as usual. Impatient, selfish, idiots are screwing things up for everyone.
Seems pretty late to be cutting sports for the players to find a new home. Kind of like what they did to the Chicago State baseball team.
