  • Shouldn't have been as close at it ended up but I'm happy with the outcome.

    • Nebraska came from behind to top Illinois 42-38.

Nebraska's now hit its 900th program win, they are the 5th to do so.

Nice second quarter for Wazzu. Put another 35 up in the second half. I'm not a Chip Kelly fan.

ND was also going for its 900th win.

            • Cougars should have scored another 35 in the second half- then they would have won. I went to bed and I think it was 35-17. They lose 67-63. That sucks.

Perhaps the most epic Cougin' It ever? Losing to 3 FCS teams in 3 years was pretty good too, but man.

Yes, this tops them all. Go to bed with them in complete control. Wake up to find that their defense looked like Egypt in the Six Day War.

It reminded me of the Gonzaga team that reached the NCAA final's collapse against BYU in their final conference game that season to blow their perfect record. That team had a 20+ point lead, was cruising, and lost. Also up there is the 2001 M's blowing a late 12 run lead in Cleveland.

See why we expect these things to happen in the PNW? I was expecting Denver to come back on Seattle in the Super Bowl as we've been conditioned to it.

                      • I thought that a national championship type of team would have gone for it in the fourth quarter down near the goal line on fourth and short at home and already up ten. It would have put Notre Dame away. It worked out for Georgia but things got dicey at the end as a result.

                          • If they end this series because of this it is a mistake. Lots of contradictions in this story. Why did the band go out the crowded exit playing when they were directed to an empty exit? Why were there no police reports if people were assaulted and injured?

You're right. They should end it because Iowa State never wins.

                              • Accident or feature? Referee shot in head by a cannon at a football game.
