Not sure how Fort Hays has any territory. They beat Washburn last week that didn't have any, they beat Central Missouri the week before...Central Missouri was coming off a win of Kearney but Kearney didn't have any territory during that matchup, so UCM wouldn't have had any territory to give Fort Hays.

UCM had territory from their win over Davenport (the week before UNK). So that is why you see the Tiger logo in the Michigan and Ohio areas.

Your map looks nice but it's not accurate. Other than a few scattered alums, people in California aren't fans of D2 teams from Oregon, Colorado and New Mexico here. You should have left my state blank or as a memorial to Azusa Pacific in SoCal and Humboldt in NorCal. I miss those teams, but they're not coming back. :(

Based on the last few messages it looks like I need to post a refresher on how this map works.

CFB Imperialism was created by Nathan Bingham in 2017 and originally posted on /r/CFB. I've done the D2 edition since 2019. The rules are simple:
                  • Each county is initially owned by the nearest team. (Size and location of fanbase do not matter.)
                  • When a team loses [to a D2 opponent], the land that they possessed before the game is passed on to the team that beats them. For example, the land originally owned by Northern Michigan passed first to Minnesota–Duluth, from Minnesota–Duluth to MSU Moorhead, from MSU Moorhead to McKendree, from McKendree to Quincy, and then from Quincy to Indianapolis who currently owns it.

That’s part of it, but it just happened that OBU and HU had played the rest of the conference teams between us and had consolidated the territory before the matchup. It will be playoffs before it changes (most likely).

I see that you started with having Clark County in Arkansas (home of both Ouachita and Henderson) in red. Might I suggest that you start that county either split, or by whoever won the previous year's Battle of the Ravine? As HSU won last year, it would fit what you did "retroactively".
