    I have no issues.
I understand the annoyance of ads but without them, I don't think the site would continue.

It’s the type of ads that are most bothersome, popup ads that cover the entire viewing window., and are difficult to minimize or remove. Very easy miss click and go to a website you she no interest in visiting, and then lose whatever you were working on.

So the focus with Chuck and I running operations has been continuing on with the site, social media, and podcasts..but nothing on website changes ($$) or upgrades.

Brandon is hoping that his stroke recovery can get to the point where he can return in a part-time manner in the offseason. The challenges with the mobile view of the site have been noted and talked about during this past year but the Google Ads are the lone source of income coming into the site for Brandon as the owner of the site..so that isn't something that will go away. However, we met last night with Brandon and this topic was brought up and the platform itself is an area that will be looked into for a better user experience for the 2026 season.
First of all THANK YOU GUYS for doing all you do for all of us...I pray that Brandon can keep up the recovery...its a tough road...in the meantime just keep doing what ya all do!! THANK YOU! I know just keep those GVSU posters under control is a handful!

OP is right but I actually think that phone browsing being difficult is a plus. It filters out “fire and forget” commenters who might read two tweets or Facebook posts about D2 football then try to join the site from a link just to troll or talk out their a**, which is an all too common problem on the mobile-oriented internet. If I had one wish it would be that the site was more stable on Safari - I make about 50-60% of my comments from a hand-me-down iPad (a midpoint between mobile and desktop experiences) and the amount of tab crashes and page reloads/logouts is insane. I do comment from a PC too but usually only post my longer comments like stat tables for BU and the PSAC pick ‘em that IUPBigIndians runs from there because you can expand the size of the comment window (also a flaw for iOS browsing - the comment window drag bar never works right.) All that said I’m very happy with my experience using D2Football/Message Board and I think this site has aged less poorly than many other sites that I used to use regularly; attempting to read SBNation, Sports-Reference, and even Wikipedia are miserable from a UI perspective and an endless assault on both your memory and battery anymore to boot.

No. Just no. I think everyone here wants this site to have even more engagement. Arguing that preventing people from posting more often is surely a crazy statement.

I always read and post from my phone. The format of the ads is annoying, but not a big deal.

My policy on sneaky hard to navigate sneak attack ads has always been to boycott any company who allows their product to be advertised that way.

100% agree. Site engagement is shrinking as it is.

Face it guys, the demographics of this board are pretty evident. My guess is men from 35-55 mostly and as much as we want engagement, the message board is a dying format. The more obstructions that are placed on the UI/UX side the less likely any growth will occur. Kind of why Reddit and Discord are a far more popular vehicle for communications in specialty topics like d2 sports.
