  • Ashland football schedule

Saw that Ferris is now playing LR in week #2, assume that means AU is playing Nwood that week as a new GMAC member. Also, AU picks up Miz S&T during their off week from a year ago. Assume rest of schedule is the same. Anyone else have info? Opening the season at home vs NDC is nice.

Have not seen the full schedule yet. They normally release it at the recruiting talk tomorrow afternoon. Will post the full schedule when they release it.

Hot of the press...2022 Ashland University football scheudle

      Notre Dame
      At Findlay
      Lindenwood
      at Quincy
      Northwood
      at Walsh
      Ohio Dominican
      Tiffin
      at Hillsdale
      at Lake Erie
      Kentucky Wesleyan

Tough Schedule...they do get 6 home games though. First game vs Notre Dame is a Thursday night game Sept 1st.

        Glad they dropped Ferris though.

Reasoning out from this what the rest of the GMAC schedule must look like... is Ashland the only team with a non-conference game in Week 1? Having the GLVC challenge in weeks 3 and 4 basically means that the other 9 weeks have to contain 8 conference games and one bye.

Findlay's schedule verifies this. Their third non-conference game is Ferris State in week 5.

Northwood has a bye in week 2. They have SVSU and Davenport in the GLVC challenge weeks.

Tiffin has a bye in week 7.

Ashland also just opened their new indoor practice facility. Will be interesting to see how this helps them moving forward.

Wow, very impressive. I feel like Ashland is the sleeping giant in Region 1... will be interesting if they get it rolling. Their facilities have to be the best in the region by far.

Tiffin and SVSU are both open on 10/15; hope they schedule a game against each other

NMU and Lake Erie are both open week 11; would be nice to see the Storm road trip to the Superior Dome.

With Lindenwood moving to division 1, looks like Ashland (Week 3) and Findlay (Week 4) will now have a gap in their schedules. Looks like Ferris State, Northern Michigan, Grand Valley State, and Michigan Tech would all be in the cards to fill in for one or both of those dates

Walsh, Tiffin, Ohio Dominican, Hillsdale and Lake Erie may be able to pick up some more GLVC schools for their open dates looking for OOC games with one less conference game now.

Could look Something like this via the GLVC schedule from their website, assuming they do not rework their rotations
                            ( https://glvcsports.com/documents/202...21.doc?id=3536 )

Uindy vs Tiffin could move from Week 3 to Week 7 allowing Tiffin to add something with Michigan Tech, Ferris State, Grand Valley State for Week 3 (and Mckendree if other games move)
Walsh vs. Southwest Baptist on Week 8 (10/22)
William Jewel vs. Ohio Dominican could move from Week 3 to Week 9 to add something with Michigan Tech, Ferris State, or Grand Valley State for Week 3 (and Uindy if other games move)
Hillsdale vs. Missouri S&T could move from Week 4 to Week 10 to add something with Grand Valley State, Ferris State, or Northern Michigan for Week 4
Lake Erie vs. Mckendree could move from Week 3 to Week 11 to add something with Michigan Teach, Ferris State, or Grand Valley State for Week 3 (and Uindy of other games move)

Not the only possibilities I am sure, but these could be some options for filling in the gap left from Lindenwood in a way that keeps teams playing within their GLIAC/GMAC/GLVC travel zone based on the open dates section here on DII Football
