I actually didn't remember. But now I remember most posters really were not happy that we took him. Now i remember that I sent an email to the AD to complain about it.

You confuse this message board with the PSAC in real life.

                          A couple takeaways:
                          - Collins is in the last year of his contract. He sure as hell better be feeling pressure to win.
                          - Complain about the cost difference all you want, but Collins has never had to fundraise for his scholarship dollars a day in his life.
                          - Not really impressive quotes from the AD. Sounds like Frank Coonelly. "Gee I hope we get some wins this year!"
I like how the cutline states Seton Hill is playing Bowie State in a 'PSAC West game'. :bulgy-eyes:

Nice shot at the rest of the mere public schools:
Reading the quote in your post, I didn't see it that way. Collins was probably only talking about what he's being asked to do which is to find players that can afford the school, win games, and graduate student athletes. It comes across as a shot at the rest of the public schools based on where the author placed the quote in the story.

I think the public vs private narrative is a real issue for coaches but is probably suppressed by the conference. Public school coaches complain that they're throwing around big dollar amounts that aren't fundraised. Private school coaches complain that the public school tuition amounts are smaller than their athletic scholarship can touch.

Don't they (private) also claim their admissions process is more stern thus making recruiting all the more difficult?

"We can't win at any cost ... We can't win with renegades."
