He sits out until Week 10 (as now expected) ... he can be LIT AF for awhile and drop some new songs. He can't get tested until he signs.

What was it? Around $30 million guaranteed in the $70 million offer this past offseason? That's not exactly chump change, you know? Only a fool does not take that.

So maybe he does squeeze out a few million more with his next team. What if he is unhappy there? What if that state has a higher tax rate? What if he is on a lousy team with no offensive line to open holes for him? He should really think of some of this stuff instead of simply the dollar amount. He could be out of the league in a hurry if he goes to the wrong situation. You just never know. He may end up smokin' dope on a street corner back in his hometown tellin' folks stories about when he ran the rock for Michigan State and the mighty Stillers.

        Crazier things have happened!

True. However, holding out until Week 10 is going to cost him $8m.

If they are rolling at that point ... an interesting decision will arise. He'll be seen as a team cancer at that point.

BTW, I think that franchise tag is a crock of ...

I say the Stillers should get rid of him as fast as they can. He's no longer any good to them. He'll be sandbagging all season long trying to avoid injury and overuse.

His agent appeared on NFL Live this evening. Good luck getting anywhere with that turkey. He no doubt filled Dumbo Bell's head with a lot of nonsense. He should have taken the offers he received the past two years. One bad moment on the field and it is all over for him.

Those offensive linemen may decide to take a few plays off during runs.............. they were ticked.

30?! More like 10 with his signing bonus which was the only REAL true guaranteed money. The rest was a rolling guarantee over the next 3-4 years he would receive if he played out his contract and remained healthy with a bunch of other hoopla. In other words it was a trash offer.

You'd be insane giving a RB that kind of money guaranteed.

These owners are billionaires for a reason. That's not a good investment.

Maybe he'll be Lit AF in Cleveland next year.

Okay, I knew he had to sign the offer but I was not aware of that he could not be signed to a long term deal by another team that wished to trade for him. That's not good for us. Maybe you could trade him to some crap team for a pittance but the Stillers would get a comp pick for him when he signs next March with some other team. The comp pick would likely be a better pick (maybe) than a trade. This is looking worse and worse all the time.

I truly don't think anybody here really cares lol

Homer, you would be better served going on twitter or finding the NFL blogs. We're the wrong crowd to try to get riled up about the Steelers and the Browns.

Difference between Le'veon Bell and Todd Gurley is age, injury history, and suspension history. Gurley is younger, hasn't been hurt, hasn't been suspended, and is seen as a doofus league wide.

It's a passing league. Any team willing to invest that much into a running back and player like Bell nearing the end of his prime is nuts.

I believe that Gurley blew his knee out at Georgia (ACL).

Nope. According to Ian Rappaport he was offered $33 million in guaranteed money which was to be paid the first two years of the contract. That is hardly a trash offer.
