But Le'veon Bell has been nothing but trouble for the Steelers off the field. And I'm not talking about his rap career. What people don't know about is that Bell didn't show up for two practices the week of the AFC Championship game two years ago against New England. He skipped the walk-through before the Jacksonville playoff game last year. He's been known to be a constant offender at showing up late to practice and meetings. Whether it be by suspension or from injury, he's only been available for 2 season openers in his NFL career. He's only started the opening game and finished the final game without missing any time once. He's about himself, not the team. Good riddance. The Steelers have won a lot of regular season games with Le'veon Bell, but they'll never win a Super Bowl with him. You know how I know that? Because they haven't done it. People think that team will take leaps and bounds backwards if Bell isn't on the Steelers. In the long run, that's what is best for that organization.

There is a long list of really good running backs that disappear after age 28. Bell has been hurt. I hedge my bet on the side of Bell having two more really good years before his production drops off significantly.

The Steelers have paid an offensive line very fairly to protect a quarterback that they are paying premium dollar for to throw to a wide receiver that they are paying premium dollar for. The Steelers have an embarrassment of riches on offense. It's a capped league. You can't keep everybody. And it's a passing league. Teams have proven that you don't need an elite running back to win in the NFL. The Steelers defense is atrocious and they're up against the cap wall annually. Again, they pay their offensive line well and they pay premium dollar for their quarterback and top wide out. They don't have the money to pay Bell what he is asking for while still fielding a competitive NFL football team. The Steelers are looked at as the bad guys, but they provided him with an offer that was more than incredibly fair given their salary cap constraints. Things change; the NFL has changed; and it's more of a "me" game than a "team" game now. I get that. But what's always made the Steelers a special organization is that they get guys to buy into a culture of team first. Ramon Foster said it best the other day, "I'm in it for a championship because then everybody eats." Bell doesn't want a ring, he wants money. He'll get his money somewhere, but it won't be in Pittsburgh.

You also conveniently didn't acknowledge anything I said about Le'veon Bell off the field. The Steelers have stood by Bell through a lot. If he can't respectfully handle this, there isn't anything more that the Steelers can do. They owe him nothing.

NOBODY CARES except old men in suits who probably blows and 8 ball a day with escorts in their penthouses and you stuck up folk on this board.

Think of the teams who are actually going to shell out Bell's $15m next year. All garbage teams. Likely the Jets, maybe the Browns ... those types. Perennial doormats.

He'll be, as Tomlin says, run until the wheels fall off.

But, he'll get his coin. And, outside of fantasy football, become irrelevant on a 6-10 team (not that I actually think he cares about winning).

Take a look at the number Bell's touches and then come back and tell me that.

because he catches more passes than the average back. And that very reason is why he is sitting out lol

From reading the last PG article, it sounds like Bell has lost the trust of his o-line. Apparently they thought he was reporting on labor day. He didn't show up and has either mislead or misinformed his guys who sound non too pleased about that situation. Loosing their trust is more of an issue than him holding out for more money. If he does come back, I'm sure they'd all kiss and make up. But, does their opinion of Bell as a trusted teammate recover?
