Earlier they had called the same thing on a gannon player, for arguing with the ref on a missed PI call. Made a huge difference there, too. My guess is that its not just cussing, but at the Ref.

Totally guessing here - I imagine there it could depend more on the target than the choice of words. Cussing at an official is totally different than cussing at an opponent.

Discipline is always best applied from the beginning. Set the tone and people tend to adjust quickly. Its hard to let it go and let it go then jump in when it gets out of hand. That's a really thin line between "just let them play" and "now its out of hand".

I still haven't recovered from that. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I'm still in shock, now this week against Cal they will play like champs. Mistakes, on top of mistakes, on top of trying to run the clock out. It was ugly.
