Tim Smith, RB, has left Fairmont State and transferred to Gym Teacher U.

He's originally from Penn Hills.

I saw that this afternoon. They also picked up a OL transfer from Dayton.

I'd have to agree. One of the stars of the James Madison team is the older Stapleton brother. He's not exactly glowing in popularity around Indiana.

Pitt is trying hard to get him to join the foosballers in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. It would be great to have a former 5 start QB at Pitt, but IMO, I think it's unlikely. I would think he ends up in the BIG 10, SEC, or even PAC 10. The only team in the ACC with a chance would be Clemson.

The key part of what you said is 'former 5 star QB'. That was two years ago. Maybe he was overrated some. He didn't play at ND. Pitt also just signed a kid the same age from Arizona State.

I agree they'll go after him.

Former Pine-Richland star QB Phil Jurcovec (sp) has entered the transfer portal. During his time at Notre Dame he took a redshirt and was the backup this past year. Three years eligibility.
