They should outsource Harrisburg while they are at it....

They should put Clarion, Edinboro, Lock Haven and Mansfield As one group and Mon Valley U. and Slimey Pebble together.

    Just leave IUP alone...

Because it's not about combining. It's about collaboration.

Edinboro and Slippery Rock are exploring shared back end functions plus trying a unified admissions plan.

Mansfield and Lock Haven are going to pursue creating non degree credentials to promote lifelong learning and career pivots without requiring a new degree.

These are not mergers. They're exploring different models of the larger system redesign.

The system could go from 14 to 11 schools.

Shared back end operation functions, nothing forward facing merging. So one HR office, one purchasing office, one accounting office, etc.

Integrations not merger. Direct quote from the chancellor.

But they still would be separate entities for athletics? Slippery Scots? Clarion Golden Vulcans?

Merging is not the appropriate word; for what is about to happen; partnering is a better word. Boro with ROCK and Clarion with Cal

    PASSHE Institutions Merging

    Hi all -

Just a heads up that something dealing with merging/integration is going to go down at the BOG meeting this morning.

The State System will be announcing it at some point today (Thursday, July 16).
