Former Rock WR Cinque Sweeting had a workout/tryout with New England on Monday. Good luck to him. If there's any franchise that can find a way to develop or insert a D2 guy its the Patriots.

CFL news: Montreal trades for Edmonton RB Walter Fletcher. Fletcher is reunited with Trevor Harris, who is still kicking in the northern league. From that 2010 draft year, only Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy are still playing.

Its looking like the Steelers will promote Omar Khan to GM. I think that's a solid choice.

I wouldn't count on that. Michigan is a premier job -- with what will be a premier offer to get the guy they want. Contracts can all be broken. If the Michigan job does open, they won't be dumpster diving to get the new guy.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars have no intention of paying Urban Meyer another dime. The team reportedly fired Meyer for cause, suggesting it doesn't want to pay out the rest of Meyer's contract."
