Agreed. I'm not their demographic but they've taken over the golf world. You're even starting to see tour players adopt a more brash, macho persona to align.

This will go away until the next time someone associated with one of these entities inevitably does something stupid.

You're seeing him start to become less noticeable in games when he doesn't generate a sack or turnover (which is happening with more regularity). The time to trade Watt would have been 2-3 years ago (because they weren't a real contender then either). But that would have been a PR nightmare so they didn't do it. These players with big ticket contracts or soon to be big ticket contracts are not generating any return in trades. We're seeing guys who are widely considered to be top flight WRs going for a mid or late round pick and nothing else. I understand that a pass rusher is different than a WR, but you see my larger point.
The Steelers are a poorly run team. They have no direction.
Some think Watt would fetch them a Round 2. Some think a Round 3. The extremists think a Round 1 & 3.
As you said, it's hard to compare the positions. Most teams just want rid of these idiot, diva WRs and will settle for anything somebody will offer them. They are also more 'dime a dozen' than strong pass rushers.
That said, football isn't a one-man sport. How much of a supporting cast has Watt had the past couple years?
I'd ship him out. I wouldn't even consider paying him anywhere near what he's expected to want. They could get two (or more) pretty solid guys for the price of one. He's also getting older by the day and is hurt constantly.

I’m with you on that. I can’t remember the guy ever playing a full season, and if we’re being honest, he wore down last season and was a non-factor down the stretch. He’s obviously been a great player, but to your point, he’s probably worth more in a trade considering the Steelers’ significant needs. I’m not sure I like any of the top QB’s in this draft enough though to move Watt to get one of them. I’m also already sick of the Aaron Rodgers drama and don’t think I can stomach a full season of it if he comes to Pittsburgh.
What a mess the front office has created for itself. The Steelers are closer to being the Jets than they are a top echelon team right now.

Assuming Cam Ward goes first to Tennessee, you still have the Giants, Browns and Raiders in the top six. I know the talk is they’re all leaning in directions other than QB, but I’m not sure I’d trust that. You also have the Saints sitting at 9. Plus a team without a “need” at QB could always pull a surprise like the Falcons did taking Michael Penix. I’d be surprised if Sanders drops outside the top 10.
I think Dart was a product of Lane Kiffin’s ability to scheme guys wide open all over the place at the college level. I’m not saying Shedeur is a franchise QB, but I’d take him over Dart.

Don't trade Sanders. NO MORE DRAMA NEEDED!!!
When I was in grade school and the Yinzers were the Steel Curtin...the Iggles were a poverty franchise.
The Eagles concluded the season having an overall historical franchise record above .500 for the first time ever.
For many years...the Flyers were the best run team in town...but that fell off the wayside.
The Sixers? LOL
The Phillies have their moments...they now have a good main owner who to quote "Wants his ****ing trophy back"...who is willing to spend.
But right now...the Eagles are the best run team in Philly and one of the top three run in the NFL.

It does include Churchill, but that neighborhood has gone downhill. The private country club there closed and is being turned into open space. The Westinghouse research center also closed.
Penn Hills was also a nice middle class suburb for decades after WW2 but is in even worse shape. Poverty, crime, loss of business. Those inner ring older suburbs have all slowly deteriorated as money moves further outside the city.

He would be a huge trade piece at the draft. I question if they even need to move up all that much to get Sanders. Many of the talking heads seem to think Dart has passed him as the No. 2 QB.
Sanders is visiting the Steelers crappy facility today.
The perfect scenario would be to draft him and have Rodgers as a one-year mail order escort. Toss in two diva WRs and it would be incredible to watch blow up.

George Novak obviously had a ton of success there. The challenge is getting kids on the team - and, keeping them on the team. That's been a struggle there since he retired.
If they could ever get all their best athletes bought in and on the team ... they'd rule the (WPIAL) world.
