I’m not even going to attempt to unpack what we saw today, so I’ll ask a question. Here is IUP’s resume:- 10-2 Record
- Defeated Slippery Rock, Shepherd, California, and Ashland
- PSAC Champions
- Earned #1 seed in SR1
- SR1 Finalist

Looks like the first hour today will have rain/wind. The rest of the game should have sun/wind. Oddly, the temperature will fall when the sun comes out.
Kickoff should be around 54 degrees. The second half will be around 45 degrees.
They will see a bit of everything today..
Bottom line: Get your IUP gear on from the Co-Op store.

Sexton has beat Cal, SRU, Ashland and Shepherd in the same season. That's quite the resume.

Given the forecasted gusts combined with the wind tunnel that seems to be there, you might be better off to prioritize what end of the field you defend versus whether or not to take possession of you win the toss. That said, IUP scored two touchdowns into the teeth of the wind in the third quarter in the last meeting.
I was actually thinking about the coin toss of all things this morning. I don't know who won the toss in the first meeting, but IUP kicked off. That first three and out (and missed Pick 6) was the exact jolt of confidence they needed.
That said, tomorrow, just as you said, I'd probably play the wind and choose my field direction and let them pick if they want the ball.
Dry or wet, it's going to be very difficult to kick tomorrow. Tort has mentioned several times he knows they aren't beating Shepherd with FGs so I suspect they'll try and avoid them at all costs. That wind really gets in the kickers heads and then all sorts of bad things can happen. Of course, we should be much more worried about XPs than FGs.
