Best of luck in retirement. He did a nice job at west Chester.

First year at West Chester with a losing record in East divisional play. An amazing record.

He's had a good record, but those last few years have not been typical West Chester teams. Probably time for him to depart. That program is the current sleeping giant in the East, assuming they give the next coach some support.

Common tale. They all seem to lose some zip down the stretch run.

People are reluctant to change when they've had some success, and the game will pass you by without adaption. I'm beginning to wonder if this is happening in Shippensburg. I obviously hope not. Modifications in the way the game is played coupled with the present-day transfer portal have changed the game quite a bit over the past decade. The constant coming and going of coordinators in small college football coupled with differing levels of scholarship support also makes it difficult to maintain a semblance of continuity

It's time. I am glad this did not drag on as long as the Rick Daniels era did. The last few years WCU was a middle of the road team which is not what they should be given the talent they can pull in.

He can spend lots of time with his Grandkids now he has more than earned it. Thanks Coach Zwaan.

Wondering if he's going to call a fourth timeout and walk across the field before the game ends on Saturday.

Only schools that celebrate 50 years of mediocrity do that type of thing.

Or coaches who forget how many they've used.

First, why would Coach Zwaan do that if he's already announced his retirement? Second, nobody forgot how many time outs were left When Denny retired. Coach Douds walked over to one of the officials and told him EXACTLY what he was going to do. You losers can't even get your digs right...

This will be a very interesting job opening. I suspect they will get some name candidates.
