For some reason, I thought they tweaked the clock rules in the second half because it was that massive of a domination by a (then) mediocre TCU squad. Although, it probably couldn't be any worse than, say, Robert Morris losing a few years ago to a team which doesn't even exist anymore.
Ya, I just looked and they played 12 minute quarters in the 2nd half. I thought it was even worse by memory.

That's a real dumpster dive game for Pitt, however.
Pitt won't do it probably unless its an emergency replacement game. But they also pay enough that they could convince a better FCS team to change plans. They also won't play them in basketball beyond the games UPMC helped broker as part of their naming rights deals for new arenas at RMU and Duquesne. The specter of the 2012 YSU loss still haunts that program and its faithful.

Alderson-Broaddus, which was about 7-8 years ago (give or take).

Duquesne covered the spread that game in a rain filled game. The problem was they got their QB, Joe Mischler killed. He ended up being out all year which ruined their FCS season.

Mercyhurst scheduling Buffalo St instead of playing Edinboro at home does pretty much say they aren't interested in losing to the local D2 schools.

The WAC football schools are going through the same thing with Stephen F Austin's move to the Southland on even shorter notice (and, to a lesser extent, Seattle and Grand Canyon moving to the WCC) and that might put the WAC in danger of dissolving..

Sorry to ask, but who is the best football school in the NEC, and how would that school fare against say IUP, The Rock, WCU or Shep?

    Honest question. Thank you.

No kidding…the NEC with all its D2 defectors and barely-D1 programs is a D1 conference in name only. The PSAC’s best teams would be in the top half of that conference from day one.
