  • Who will Valdosta State be playing in 2025?

We know that Delta State, West Florida, and West Alabama will be on the schedule, but that still leaves a lot of holes to fill to get to 10 or 11 games.

Anyone know which other teams that will be stepping up to play VSU?

They’ll play Chowan next season as part of the deal with Conference Carolinas, but that’s just one game:

Grand Valley is looking hard. I know all the fans would love it. Plus, it might be a good year to play GV.

You must have missed this reply on your other thread. This was while MC was still on the schedule but looks like VSU already has contracts for 6 OOC games next year.

That was quick. Looks like Prairie View A&M.

Hope he doesn’t do what Randy Edsall did when he left UConn. He left the team after they got whooped in a bowl game and flew to Maryland to sign the contract to coach there. Not sure he even told his team.

Hardly threw the admin under, all he did was say they couldn’t come to an agreement. Stop being so dramatic.

Yeah, he threw them under the bus. There was no need to mention failed negotiations. He also praised the former AD but had no thanks for the president.

VSU is in a bad spot with a crumbling conference and dwindling enrollment. I doubt there is much "long-term" with VSU football right now.

So is this the new trend? Take VSU to a title game and then hop off for the next adventure? Hate seeing this with such a storied D2 football program but between this and the transfer portal, guess these are the days we're living in.

What did Jackson mean in the post press conference about not even having footballs? Is the program in that bad of shape?

The link to the 2026 GSC football schedule on the Future Schedules section of their website is now greyed out and inaccessible, where previously it was not (hence how Argonut was able to gather the data for the GSC's OOC games for that season). Doesn't seem like a good sign

                            2026??
Never seen GSC scheduling that far out. We've always been lucky if we see anything by January of season year.

Maybe not publicly, but I imagine there's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. There was a thread on it earlier this year, back before MC announced they had dropped football: there were future schedules listed for 2025 and 2026. It was quoted earlier in this thread, but I have it quoted again below, although the numbers have since changed a bit now with MC gone and the 2026 schedule now M.I.A.
