Because construction costs go up all the time. You might never be able to fundraise to catch up to the cost of inflation.

That would explain why colleges everywhere are on a building spree. Someone should tell all those guys freaking out about the "$1 billion debt" at Oh-You that.

Yep looking real nice. I am pretty jealous, but it's all in the donor base. SAU just doesn't currently have that. While we are one of the fastest growing schools in the state, we just don't have the booster base. OBU and Harding have us beat by a long shot. Curious what the maintenance on a building like that is for the long term. I know it's basically a steel structure. Guess the biggest thing is heat and air probably.

Wait this looks smaller than what was originally drawn up. They said 136 yards total? I am seeing maybe 100 or 110? Maybe the pictures don't show the right angle or something.

Does look very nice, but I was under the impression it was a full 100-yard indoor as well. That looks a lot like what UAM/OBU have size-wise for indoors.

Yeah maybe it was just a bad photo. Still a nice facility. Hope they work with the local school districts and let them use it if possible. Would be a great asset.

Drove by it the other day on the way back from Sparkman from the deer camp. It's nice. Looks like tall turf kinda. Not as shallow and fast as some.

Tech has a great set-up with their stands, pressbox, band in the endzone, and scoreboard. The atmosphere is great since they normally have the best attendance due to them being twice the size enrollment wise of any other school in the conference.
ECU just upgraded to the biggest video board in the conference. Great atmosphere (top 5 attendance in the conference). The only negative is the old press box.
