ANY chance any Gliac team would move up to FCS D1

Been talked about for years for Grand Valley to move up. I don't think that would be a wise choice, as they are a DII perennial power. I believe that would change at the next level.

You think. GRAND VALLEY brings in many D1 prospects year after year. I think they could compete.

I agree with Kle..."no". I've written numerous posts on the why moving to D1 makes almost zero sense for GV (and for most D2 schools)...the smartest move they can make is to stay put.

They installed a brand new state of the art fieldturf field and they still put a gorram crown in it. With the goofy ass looking endzone corners that I'm sure somebody has busted an ankle on. Always going to beat that to death.

AGREED - D1 makes no sense with that status of the Michigan population today - NEVER should be the answer

I've heard Ohio Wesleyan is exploring a move up. Their most likely home would be the GMAC though.

Didn't know Wesleyan was that good.

Choosing your Division affects all of your sports, and is not merit based. How "good" anyone is (which is typically not axiomatic across all of a program's teams) doesn't qualify a school to move up.

It's all about the money. A school has to determine if the percieved benefits to the institution are worth the increased costs involved to move up a division.
