Think Zac Dickey pre John Brown, but Dickey doesn't run.

Do you have any confidence Wright does anything other than be completely inept on Saturday? Ferris is laughing hysterically that NW is going to run him out there in Big Rapids for a 3rd time.

I hope he kicks ass. Reality says it's going to be ugly. He is going to have to run.
I have 0% expectation that BW will be completely inept. That just isn’t fair to the kid. Now, Ferris has the book on him and he showed last game that a rush still rattles him and yet, as you pointed out, he won’t take off and run. I’d much rather have a Healthy Hohensee. He seems to have much more potential in the passing game to go along with Big Al.

Harding's soft zone to end the first half was fatal to their chances of winning the game. BW got comfortable with no pass rush and absolutely picked them apart. You are correct, BW was rattled when the heat was coming. Many QBs are.

It all starts up front with the O line, if they give Wright some time, then he will be able to pick apart the D. He has done just fine in the two playoff games already. Not to take away from Ferris, they are No. 1 for a reason. At this point all teams have to play their best or they are turning in equipment the next day. Both Wright and Hohensee are capable of lighting the sky on fire.

I think the optimism is a little high there. I don’t see Wright picking apart the Ferris D even when given time. I do think he can be solid and keep the O from being one-dimensional. To take it back to the OP, it would be nice to see Wright behind an Adam Dorrel o-line.

Would I rather see Hohensee back there, probably, but he is not healthy. McKeller and Moya take a lot of the heat off of BW now. as well.

Agreed. I’m hoping the o-line can give Big 0 (new nickname) some space inside and he can wear them down with good 4-8 yard gains. This could create some opportunities for BW to keep on a read option or maybe even get Moya outside in a 2-back set. Ultimately, it all begins and ends with McKeller. If he can get going, it opens up the whole offense and would make BW’s life a lot easier, not to mention it would keep FU’s offense on the sidelines.

Lol. With 4 to 8 yard gains, NW wouldn't need to throw or keep or anything else.

I check on this thread to see if there is news on Dorrel (Not to be confused with Karl Dorrell), but all I read is the ongoing debate about Northwest QB's. ;- (

Ok, I didn’t mean that’s what he’ll get every time. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-5 per carry is reasonable to expect though, with some bursts mixed in. If they lock him down to where a 5 yd gain is hard to get, it’s gonna be a long day.
