I believe RW had the title of assistant Head coach to Bostwick temporarily during the season we never got, but can't remember for sure...not that it matters much.

The issue with this team and has been a running issue since RW took over is the offense is atrocious. Osborn ran the exact same offense to the point where sitting in the stands based on formation, hand signals, etc. Myself and others around knew what play we were running, I’m sure many DCs in the MIAA could pick up on it too. So Osborn leaves and we shunned all other rumored options for Todd Sturdy a coach whose offense in NAIA wasn’t particularly great, Sturdys play calling is putrid and his player development is worse. I’m not calling for RW head because I know that if he were to find the right fit offensively to match his defensive mind this team and program could get it turned around. Also can’t be afraid to hit the portal, especially at positions obviously lacking talent

Big win for Fort Hays! They showed they can compete for 4 quarters. They have plenty of things to work on, but this was a make it or break it kind of game for them.

RW has led the Bearcats to the playoffs every season he has been head coach. Tons of D2 programs/schools would love to have those results

To fire him after one subpar season would speak poorly about Northwest Missouri.
